I have been a historic interpreter for five years. My initial impression was that of a British Royal Artillerist during the American War for Independence. I operated in every position on the gun at one time or another. My interests shifted when I realized that native reenacting existed, and there was a dire shortage of nimble-bodied young men to fill those moccasins. Since adopting that personae, I have traveled from the Gulf to the Great Lakes in order to educate others. I am currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in History, with a minor in Appalachian Studies at Lees-Mcrae College, a private school here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. My focus will be on native culture, and research's integral role in historic interpretation. I would like to thank those who have been willing to share their research, experience and insight regarding the history and hobby. Without them, I would not have been able to present the modest information on this site. contact me |
