last update April '11. This site is dedicated to the collection, presentation, and interpretation of the historical events, conditions, and persons affecting life of indigenous people living in the Southeast. This includes what is now Tennessee, Virginia, the Carolinas, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Kentucky. I am a reenactor portraying a Tsalagi (Cherokee) warrior named Talala Utsetsi, Smiling Woodpecker, during the time
of the Seven Years War, and occasionally the American War for Independence. My personae is of a young warrior from Toqua, an Overhill
town led by Willanawaw. I am a member of His Majesty's Southern Indian Department, a group which interprets its historical counterpart and affiliated tribes.
If you're interested in becoming a member of our group, or want to start reenacting, please get in touch with me Research Methods Research Resources My 'Kit' On Campaign Images from Contact Cherokee/ Southeast Images Links (C)2010 J Privott |
