South East Essex Ramblers Amendments to programme April – July 2012
New RSPB walk Bowers Marshes Dates Sunday 10 June 2012 (route changed see below) Wednesday 11 July 2012 (route changed see below) The new RSPB reserve was due to open at the end of May 2012 but we have been advised by the RSPB that Due to technical problems on the new pathways the reserve will remain closed until sometime towards the end of summer 2012. However the walks will still be on the above dates but we will walk a different route. The map below shows our meeting point which is adjacent to the church and railway bridge. The revised walk will be 10am from St Margaret’s church to Wat Tyler country Park. Distance approximately 5 miles. Directions to the meeting place. From Pitsea B164 turn in to Church Road passing Pitsea Cemetery on your right. Follow Church Road as it bears to the right. Go down the lane for 0.75 miles you will see the church on your left.
