Reflections Information

Dear PTA Presidents and Reflections Chairs:

It’s almost time to start the new school year. As the Southeastern Region Reflections’ Coordinator, I want to introduce myself and pass along the important dates and details about the program for 2009-2010. If you have questions regarding the Reflections program, please feel free to contact me.

As many of you know, the National PTA developed the Reflections Program to interest children, parents, teachers, and communities in the arts. Since its inception, thousands of students have participated in this program each year and have enjoyed the benefits of having their creative talents recognized and self-esteem developed. Last year, we had a very successful program in the Southeastern Region. I hope more schools will be involved this year.

I encourage you to initiate a Reflections program in your school and will help in any way I can! If possible, please send me the following:

  • Your unit’s intention to participate before October 1, 2009

  • Coordinator’s name and contact information with an e-mail address.

NOTE: Without this information, your school may miss out on important information.

Watch for more updates and notes from me as the program unfolds and please pass them along to your Reflections coordinator.

2009-2010 Reflections Program

  • This year’s theme is “Beauty IS”!

  • The Deadline for submissions to the Southeastern Region is November 19, 2009 - which means participating units must coordinate their submission and adjudications by that date.

  • Each unit may submit up to FOUR entries in each of the Categories.

  • It is very important that all rules and Category specifications set by National PTA are followed to avoid disqualification of entries.

  • The Southeastern Region Reflections Ceremony date and location will be announced soon.
