Zone Cross Country Results
Congratulations to the children who ran in the Zones Cross Country races at Ellesmere Showgrounds this week. All children gave their very best effort and achieved great results. Thank you to the parents who transported and supported us at the event. A huge congratulations to Samuel, Liam, Joanna, Mackenzie, Emily and Riley who will represent us at the Canterbury Championships in a couple of weeks.

Well done to those children who placed in the top 10 of their race and achieved an outstanding result:

Readers and Writers Week
A fun evening was had by all at The Bedtime Stories on Tuesday evening. A huge thank you goes to our readers who entertained the children ... Adrian Kirk, Triena Graham, Murray Greig and Mr Verstappen.  Thank you to the people who have been in to purchase books from the Scholastic Book Fair. Every purchase earns points to buy books for the school library.

Book Character Parade and Celebration Assembly
There has been a change of time for the Book Character parade, which will now start at 11.00am to coincide with the Celebration assembly that will be held down at the Southbridge Town Hall. The children will parade around the  netball courts in their class groups. After that we will walk along Cryer Street and down High Street to the hall. We should arrive at the hall by approximately 11.45am

Storylines
"Totally Amazing" production. Tuesday June 12th, cost $4.50 per student.
This fantastic group will be returning to amaze us with another amazing story based on NZ Award Winning Book.  Please pay your money to the office, thanks you.

Flu Vaccinations
This year flu immunisation is free for people under 18 years of age in Canterbury before 31 July. You may collect a flyer about this from the reception area at school.

Preschool Programme
There will be no preschool programme on Wednesday 30th May as Mrs Baugh will be away.

Sausage Sizzle
The Home and School committee will be holding a sausage sizzle on Thursday 31st May. A sausage in bread will cost $2. Please go to the office area to order and get a stamped hand before school on Thursday morning.
