History

SOUNDWAVES chorus within 'The Central Coast Barbershop Chorus Inc.' has it's origins in 'The Gosford City Barbershop Chorus'.
The Chorus was formed in 1988 and the MD was Bert Barwick. Bert was also a member of the 'The Barber Four' quartet.

The inaugural sing-out was held in the Conservatorium at the old Court House building in Gosford.

The chorus participated in the 'Festival of Barbershop Harmony' in 1989 at Laycock St Theatre and sang at the First AAMBS National Convention held on the Gold Coast in Queensland in 1991.
