靈療者的迷思-靈療的被需要性如何
目前,全美約有一千五百萬人使用Reiki healing,約佔全人口的5%,相較於多於41%使用替代療法的總比例,並不算多.
有不少靈療專業推算,在下面15年內,Reiki healing的全球成長率將達5.7億人口,與7億個專案.(參考karuna門派William Lee Rand的文章,http://www.reiki.org/reikinews/reikin25.html)
以"目前"的5%的能量療法使用率,來估算TW的人口,若能夠跟上國際接軌--
TW有2,300萬人,若是以5%來算,約有1.15百萬TW人可以被energy healing嘉惠.
若一位healer能夠照顧1千名客戶,那麼1.15百萬的TW客源,就至少需要1,150位專業healers.
(一千位是很恐怖的數字,請想像我光是忙這不到一百位的客戶,還只是教學與簡單服務而已,就已夠G飛狗跳了.)
(以上數據是假設TW人口不再增加,energy healing的使用比例也不再增加,energy healing沒有被宗教等民俗療法替代的情況下的推算.)

Are complementary medicine and alternative medicine different from each other?
Yes, they are different.

Complementary medicine is used together with conventional medicine. An example of a complementary therapy is using aromatherapy to help lessen a patient's discomfort following surgery.

Alternative medicine is used in place of conventional medicine. An example of an alternative therapy is using a special diet to treat cancer instead of undergoing surgery, radiation, or chemotherapy that has been recommended by a conventional doctor.
