Part-time hourly paid faculty demonstrator-level position (up to 25hrs per week/$10 US per hour)
Job Responsibilities
Conduct weekly active small group study sessions for undergrad
students in between classes, prepare session plans, handouts, attend
classes, take notes and course assessments, read assigned materials,
interact with student learners, observe and assist student
facilitators, regularly meet with the SL supervisor, assist with
program documentation and evaluation, attend meetings and workshops,
maintain electronic learning resources, perform other departmental
duties, as directed. Persons should have a flexible schedule and
should not be concurrently enrolled, at any institution, with a full
load of classes.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and significant coursework or experience in Biology
(incl. good grades in microbiology and molecular biology); Good
written, interpersonal, and communication skills; the ability to work
well with small groups and within a team; proficiency in the MS Office
suite; experience with student services/higher education is also
desirable. Minimum of 2 semesters of appointment commitment to the
position is required.
