Typical accommodations include (but are not limited to):

• Extended time on tests;
• Quiet environment for testing (in the ASC);
• Having tests read orally to you;
• Copies of overhead, PowerPoint® or lecture notes;
• Allowing tape recording of class lectures;
• Use of a calculator for math tests;
• Textbooks in audio format.

In order to qualify for these accommodations, you must provide us with current documentation of your learning disability. This will take the form of:

1. a licensed psychologist's report with diagnosis and recommendations for accommodation, or
2. an IEP from high school that includes accommodations allowed at that level.

Documentation must be within the last three years in order to be considered current.

College will be different than high school for students with learning disabilities. You will need to be a self-advocate at this level—you must identify yourself to us and request the accommodations you need.
