Dear Cohousing friend It is with sadness that we send out this communication announcing the hiatus of our cohousing group. Although our group has been actively working for three years, our numbers did not grow to become a viable size to move forward. In addition, the current economy and the resulting difficulty in getting construction loans have brought us to the following decision. The
members of COHOUSING SONOMA COUNTY have agreed to temporarily suspend
our formal organizing activity. Although we are all still committed to
the excellent principles of living in community and, if possible,
within cohousing, the realities of the marketplace make this dream more
than daunting. We aren’t giving up – we’re taking a sabbatical. We
welcome your ideas, suggestions, and thoughts. We wish all of you a joyous, healthful, and peaceful new year. | |
