Here's where I've placed songs I've written. They're recorded with the humble CREATIVE Vision:M. To my surprise the tiny mic records quite effectively.

Disclaimer I don't profess to be a great singer! Plus my piano's out of tune. And I ain't that great singing and playing simultaneously either - you'll hear mistakes in these recordings. As Wheels puts it, the piano playing has 'no frills'. :) I just wanna share God's tunes especially since Googlepages is so irresistably easy to use! This page will be updated as frequently as the Holy Spirit drops tunes in my heart.
You may go ahead and sing these songs in your church/cell group if you like (I wrote some of them for this very purpose anyway) but I'd appreciate if you drop me a note to let me know below:

Song info: Hebrews 9:14
Written on 7 Dec 06, about 1am. This song came about in a most unbelievable manner, being written in about 10 minutes! Being a little ill I got into bed ready to sleep when suddenly I thought, 'how can a man be made clean?' only to answer, 'only by the blood of Christ...' and then immediately the chorus (Because of the blood... because of the blood...) came into my mind. I just had to quickly get up, turn on lights and write it down. The rest of the song needed biblegateway.com's help to complete. I don't think I've ever discovered Hebrews 9:14, so it's a revelation for myself as well! Glory be to God alone!

Written 5 Dec 06. While swimming, I asked God whether He would like me to write another song today. Quite immediately I felt inspired to write a simple little song about Rev 3:20. Wrote the song at my desk while staring at these words in the bible. This song is dedicated to my sister Wheels because she claimed that she likes this song the moment she came out of the shower while hearing me play on the piano. She was also the one to come up with the title. I think this song is very very Michael Card!

This song was written way back in early 2005. Wrote it when I was buried under an unpleasant heap of course work during my 3rd year in London. Felt like singing a song to do with Matthew 6, but was surprised that I couldn't find any! (let me know if u do!) Hence I decided to write my own. Think I led it in OCF once.

Song info: Written on 4 Dec 2006 in my bed! I awoke with the verse's chord progressions and the groove in my head, and made a decision to write a song with it. The tune came quite quickly, and the lyrics flowed quite smoothly to the structure of the melody too. This is a guitar song! Ah Sam isn't with me so I'm recording 1st version on piano first.

Song Info: Written on 2 Dec 2006 I wrote this song a few minutes after I woke up. I've been longing for greater intimacy with God, and as usual, because I was lazy reaching out for the songbook to choose a song to sing, I decided to write a new song. This song was created in a matter of 5-10 minutes on my bed! It's also a response to my CG leader Vincent's sharing the night before - that we can hear God's voice clearly and personally, and I was longing for that. I recorded it immediately after I got the song (knowing how quickly it can be forgotten!!) and so this was recorded with my morning breath. You can also hear morning birds chirping in the background! Pardon the very out of tune piano.

This song took about 5 hours to birth! Wrote it on the piano. First I was at my desk, feeling very choked by all the work that was grabbing my attention. It's been some time since I could concentrate on God because when I see my desk, I see tasks (some enjoyable, some not so enjoyable) that need my attention. I decided to walk out of my house, and it was incredible how, when I was standing under the moonlight, in the night breeze, holding nothing else but bible in hand, I felt an incredible sense of freedom. It was wonderful! I was supposed to pray but I kept singing to God! Then I decided, OK, I have to write a song about tonight. And this is it. I was very hungry for God at service earlier today. The speaker this morning told us that in order to be like Paul and be intimate with God, we've got to 'come away' with God. And these 2 words just stuck with me. This song is filled with my favourite chord progressions! And I intentionally wrote it very criss-crossed between C + F major. :)

I wrote it during my 3rd year in London, think it was at some wee hours of the morning... 2am thereabouts. I was overflowed with thanksgiving after just thinking about how God has brought me through so much. He has REALLY blessed me so much, this is only a response to His overwhelming grace in my life. I have no idea what to name this song. You have a better suggestion? This song was composed on my guitar, Ah Sam. The most incredible thing is I saved these lyrics in a word document WITHOUT CHORDS! (Don't ever do that if you compose.) So when I opened the file just now I absolutely could not recall the song! After staring hard at the lyrics AND praying that God will give me the tune again, He did!! And slowly the song came back to me in bits. I find that so incredible! Would have been so wasted if I forgot the song and am left with lyrics, and it would have been icky re-writing the tune.
