Just wanted to wish you all a happy 2012, filled with success on all levels.

 

This is definetely going to be the biggest year in the band's history thus far : New lineup, new album, big gigs ahead and full dedication and commitment to moving Sabred forwards in leaps and bounds! The recordings are progressing smoothly and we're hoping to be ready for release near summer time. Also, we've had an offer to do a video clip for one of the tracks, and of course we jumped at the opportunity and are currently working on the pre-production! So expect lots of surprises for your eyes and ears shortly!

 

On to some sad news : Many have been asking about the gig with Heir Apparent that was to take place in January, which unfortunately has been cancelled for reasons beyond the band's control. Needless to say that it was a dream beyond belief for us to have the chance to perform with a legend of H.A's caliber (the first song Sabred ever played live was a cover for "Cry for Rome"!), and we hope we will have the opportunity again in the future.

We are more than happy to announce Solitary Sabred's fourth return to Power of the Night Festival, on the 27th and 28th of July 2012. British metal legends Cloven Hoof are the other confirmed band to appear thus far, and it's needless to say that it is an honor and a priviledge to be opening for another of our idols. Speaking of idols, we had a great time playing alongside the mighty Grim Reaper and R.U.S.T. on the 16th, and we'd like to thank all the brothers and sisters that were there singing along, as well as Christos and Marios for inviting us! Last but not least, many of you have been asking about the album, rest assured it is well on the way! The change in the drummer slot understandably took us a few steps back, but Antreas is doing an amazing work of catching up with the material (as was evident in the last gig), and we are now firmly back on track, steamrolling through the recordings! And it sounds good... REAL GOOD!

A recent change took place in the Sabred line up, as  Achilleas will no longer be pounding the drums of war for Sabred. Antreas Tapa, our new brother in arms, will be heading the battering assault hence forth. Antreas is a professional drummer and metal fanatic, and we can't wait for you to hear the new tracks we're laying down at the moment!

 

We would like to thank Achilleas for his contribution to the band, and wish him best of luck in his future endeavours.

It is with great pleasure that we can finally announce the recordings of our new album : "Redemption Through Force"! Not only are the recordings underway, but they are actually quite far along, with the first samples being sent out to labels as we speak. It is our distinct pleasure to be working with our good friend & producer Paris Lambrou (Arrayan Path, Astronomikon, Prodigal Earth), who fully shares our vision of creating the ultimate dark epic onslaught!

As we have previously revealed in interviews, "Redemption Through Force" is a concept record, chronicling the tale of Jacob Kramer an ex-crusader on a self-righteous quest to vanquish all evil, albeit giving birth to its most vile incarnation in the process... Part based on historic events, people and locales, and part fiction, we hope that the story we've crafted will encompass you on a dark journey beyond the ordinary. As for the music, we've strived to up the bar in all aspects, both sound and delivery : It's heavy, it's demented, it's epic, it's SOLITARY SABRED!

We'll be posting some samples soon, so keep checking back. Something evil this way comes...
