Most notably: Thieves Guild quota rules apply for any thefts in Ankh-Morpork, including burglary.

Before you can bid for an Ankh-Morpork property you will need to pay a deposit fee. pay
This fee is set by the magistrates and is currently rated at A$50 per room. The fee for shops is five times the single room amount for houses.
If you are unsuccessful at the auction, or when you claim your new property the money will be refunded to a prominent NPC bank at which you have an account.

Ramtops
Ramtops housing is handled by the real estate stall in Lancre Town, just north of the General Store, west side of market.
This stall covers both Lancre Kingdom and Uberwald properties.
There is no citizenship requirment for Ramtops housing,  but it is only available to those who do not already possess either a house or a shop.
If you already own property anywhere on the disc you will not be able to bid. This includes not being able to bid on a shop if you have a house and vice-versa.
Ramtops houses usually run faily cheap for this reason and are quite prolific in any case. There are houses and shops everywhere from Ohulan-Cutash to Escrow.

Standard non-council tax rates of 10% apply.

Sto Plains and Skund Forest
The Real Estate office for Ankh-Morpork is located on King's Down, the street running from Deosil Gate to the Isle of Gods.
It contains two rooms, the city office and the 'forn' office which is the second room off the street.
The 'forn' office handles rentals for the Sto Plains and Skund Forest and attracts the standard non-council tax of 10% in addition to whatever you bid.
