Discworld Billiards
There are four billiards tables in The Tree (Bes Pelargic Wizards Guild).
You can play wizards billiards which uses wizards skills or guild billiards which uses your guilds skills.
For a wizard, guild billiards and wizard billiards are the same.
You need either a staff or a broomstick to play. This is what you use for a que.
The two frontal rooms (north from courtyard and upstairs from the first one) can be accessed by anyone.
The two side rooms require you to pass a m.s.s check to enter, it may take several tries to succeed.
The side roomsare more elaborate, with nice comfy chairs and bars.
The tables are no different though.
The procedure is simple.
play wizards/guild billiards with <player>
Whoever starts the game goes first.
hit cue ball at [colour] ball with staff/broom
Different colours use different skills and very few have been confirmed, although there is some degree of logical correlation.
look table to see what colour balls are left.
look board to see the score
You need agatean written to understand the score and you can tm from trying to read it.
It is essentially a game of trick shots, the more impressive your shot is, the more points you get.
This is skill based. You can score 0, 10, 15, 20 or 30 points depending on how well you pass the skillcheck.
You also need sufficient skill in magic.items.held.broom/staff if you don't want your staff to jump out of your hands.
200 bonus should be enough.
The winner is the player with the most points when the last ball has been sunk.
Confirmed skillchecks
It is probable that more than one ball uses the same skill and the colour gives some indication. It is suspected that the same ball may use more than one skill. Here follows the confirmed skillchecks.
Wizards
Thieves
If you recieve any TMs from playing Billiards, please mudmail me the details.
Mostly ball colour and skill, but the effect and bonus level would also help improve the general knowledge base.
Thank you,
