Solar Connections
Helping to bring solar technologies to more and more homes and businesses.

Some of Solar Connections' recent efforts:

1.  Exploring a Community Solar entity enabling small groups of local folks to take advantage of solar opportunities in their neighborhoods.  Contact Kurt at Solarconnections@gmail.com for more information.  Currently looking for ideal host sites for community projects.  Could be on public or private property.  Could be for-profit or non-profit.  Let me know!

2a. In July of 2011, started a working relationship with ReGo, a Minneapolis-based Plug-In Conversion company that is your one-stop shopping point for converting any hybrid vehicle to a plug-in (power and distance BOOSTING) hybrid-electric vehicle (PHEV).   Learn more at: http://regoelectric.com  or in Wisconsin, call 608-729-4082. Tell 'em Kurt sent you.

3.  Conversion of a 2004 Toyota Prius to a Plug-In Hybid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) in October of 2008.

4.  Conversion of a 2000 VW Jetta Tdi to run on 100% vegetable oil (waste vegetable oil available at the Prairie Fire Biofuels Cooperative).

5.  Installed a photovoltaic array on our home (2006), which provides about 20% more electricity than our household consumes in a year.  See Time-of-Use Metering for a discussion of our net metering system with the local utility.

6.  This Website.  Intended to be a clearinghouse for information on solar energy, this site will help connect those who want to know more with those who do.  See Links page for more connections.
