Hello and welcome to the SOHC Aquatics website!
We're glad you stopped by.

The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Fall Swimming will begin on Monday, August 17th.  The team calander has been updated with the practice schedule.   This season will be primarily aimed at our lower ability swimmers with the Fall Classic set up for them to swim individual events and a relay event.  Our higher ability swimmers will not be swimming in the Fall Classic this year.  Everyone is invited to swim our practices as we have always done.

Please log onto the SOHC wesite at http://www.specialolympicshamiltoncounty.org/ and sign up for the Fall Sports.  The signup page is posted on the website now for you to use.  It is important that everyone sign up for the sport or sports you want to participate in.

The Fall Classic will be geared toward our lower skilled athletes and ONLY those athletes will be entered in that event.  If you really want to attend the Fall Classic and are not one of our lower skilled aquatics athletes, I would encourage you to sign up for another sport that is offered at the Fall Classic.  Those sports are Distance Running and Walking, Flag Football, Powerlifting, Volleyball and MATP.  Details on those sports are available on the SOHC main website.
