"PROLOG"

Especially due to scuba diving, I have been travelling quite a bit, finding "my wonders" on the way.
I've always been fascinated with sites of archaeological interest, having even participated, as a teenager, in the excavation of a tumulus (burial mound) dated from the Neolithic to the Bronze Age, from where flint and hundreds of ceramic fragments, many decorated, were retrieved. I was also allowed to participate in the painstaking brushing of a wall of a newly excavated tomb in Saqqara, Egypt in exchange for baksheesh, but of course!

This is my log, so I keep track of places and dates...

"In the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years." ~ Abraham Lincoln

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."  ~Mark Twain
