![]() links contact Søren Grammel holds the post of director of the Kölnischer Kunstverein (Cologne, Germany), a non-profit space for the production and exhibition of international contemporary art — supported by more than 1600 members, several private foundations and the city of Cologne. For 6 years (from 2005 until the end of 2011) he has held the post of Artistic Director of the Grazer Kunstverein (Austria); the exhibitions there include “Eine Person allein in einem Raum mit Coca-Cola-farbenen Wänden,” “Idealismusstudio,” “Public Folklore,” “Never for money, always for love,” “Es ist schwer, das Reale zu berühren,” or “traurig sicher, im Training.” The show “Die Blaue Blume” was listed among the best themed shows of 2007 by the magazine frieze. He also held the post of a Curator-in-Residence at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna (Austria) from 2009 until 2010. As a curator he has been responsible for numerous other exhibitions in contemporary art spaces, among them the Kunstverein München or the Frankfurter Kunstverein. In 2005, he published the widely regarded theoretical book “Ausstellungsautorschaft,” Frankfurt am Main. He taught at the Kunsthochschule Kassel and held seminars at the Umeå Academy of Fine Arts. He is regularly invited by international art academies and curatorial programmes to lecture and tutor on issues related with exhibitionmaking and curating. |
