  * The Society of Wetland Scientists’ South American chapter continuously invites wetland professionals, scientists, managers, NGOs and government officials involve in wetland projects and researches, students as well as any wetland enthusiast to become members of the Society of Wetland Scientists’ South American chapter. You must be a citizen of any country belonging to South America.

 * Thank you very much to the 28 petitioners! Without your heartfelt consent, willingness and cooperation, this chapter could not have been established. Thanks also to the organizers of the SWS SA chapter, namely Prof. Isidro T. Savillo, Member of the Membership Committee of the SWS Org USA and Prof. Florencia Trama and to Maria Elaine de Oliveira for establishing the Portuguese SWS SA chapter web site.

    Our sincere appreciation also goes to Dr. Andrew Baldwin (President of SWS Org 2009-2010), Dr. Glenn Guntenspergen (President, SWS Org 2010-2011), Dr. William Conner, Secretary General SWS Org,  the Old SWS Board Members (2010)  and the SWS General membership who greatly showed their support and approval of the SWS SA Chapter during the 2010 SWS International Convention and Annual Meeting, Salt Lake City, Utah, U.S.A.
