Detention Center

It is the mission of the Socorro County Detention Center to protect the public and provide a safe and secure environment for inmates and staff under the principles of direct supervision and in accordance with the American Correctional Association (ACA) Standards.

It is the goal of the Socorro County Detention Center to provide a safe, secure and humane facility for those detainees in our custody. Evangel Maldonado was appointed by the Board of County Commissioners to meet that goal.

During their incarceration we will provide each inmate, regardless of their crime, creed, national origin, religion, or gender, with their basic needs such as, shelter, food, clothing, and medical care.
