Social Media Level 1

Our introductory one-day programme Level 1 offers a unique training opportunity for people with responsibility for marketing to find out about the benefits of using free social media, such as Facebook, Twitter, Wordpess and LinkedIn to market their charity, social enterprise, public sector organisation or private business.  This programme is aimed at social enterprises, social firms, community interest companies, charities, companies limited by guarantee and voluntary organisations.

"Social media has a big role in the third sector because it’s a dynamic way of communicating," says Jessica Medling of the Media Trust. "The barriers to using it tend to be a lack of time, resources, knowledge or confidence. There’s also a suspicion that it’s not relevant. In fact the third sector is perfectly placed to use social media. It’s all about building communities of like-minded people, and communities are at the heart of the third sector".

Each programme offers up to 10 places in order that participants gain the most from both the learning module and the online starter session.  This ensures that your organisation begins to benefit immediately from using social media.  A basic working knowledge of the internet and email is required.

So whether you are a social entrepreneur, community volunteer, trustee, charity representative, company director or co-operative member this programme is designed for you.  Read what participants say
