Dear River Trail Family,
This year we are participating in North Fulton Community Charity’s Mary Drake Holiday Assistance Program. This program helps neighboring families in the North Fulton area, who would otherwise not be able to afford gifts and a warm meal for the holidays. Last year North Fulton Community Charities sponsored over 450 families through the Santa Shop. Providing gifts for these families will spread a lot of happiness this holiday season. As we approach this holiday season, we are asking for your help. We are in need of donations of gifts for families in need. Each team, on each grade level, has adopted a family. River Trail’s Junior Beta Club and Student Council will be coordinating the school wide effort. New, unwrapped age appropriate toys are needed. There are “wish list” items for each child. Feel free to purchase one of those items or a different age appropriate toy or article of clothing. Pre-teen and teen gifts are always in great demand. Gift certificates to Walmart, Target, and Kohl’s are most appreciated for the holidays. Additionally, household gifts like blankets or grocery gift cards are welcomed as well. If you are unable to shop for a gift, please feel free to send in a monetary donation to your child’s homeroom teacher. Homeroom teachers will be coordinating efforts on their teams and will be shopping for additional items and gift cards. Please do not send in checks. All donated money will be spent on toys and gift cards for the families in need. Please help us make the holidays jolly and bright for the River Trail Adopted Families. We ask that all donations be submitted by Wednesday, December 9th to your child’s homeroom teacher. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and your incredible holiday spirit! Without your constant support, we would not be able to accomplish worthwhile projects like this one. Happy Holidays!
