Tom Arrix, VP of Sales, Facebook
Tom Arrix is Vice President of Sales at
Facebook and oversees media strategy, manages advertising inventory and
advertising operations for the East Coast sales team. Previously, Tom
was at Univision Digital as Senior Vice President of Advertising Sales
and Marketing Solutions where he was responsible for rebuilding and
managing revenue efforts. Prior to Univision Digital, Tom was the Senior Vice President of Sales and Client Services at CBS Sportsline.com. There, he
worked for six years building the industry's top-rated Internet sales
force that was responsible for all media, advertising and sponsorship
revenues for CBS Sportsline and partner sites including CBS Sports, NFL.com, PGATour.com and NCAASPORTS.com
Jeremiah Owyang, Senior Analyst, Forrester Research Focused
on Social Computing for the Interactive Marketer, Jeremiah is a Senior
Analyst at Forrester Research where he publishes industry reports and
provides social media counsel to clients. He also writes a daily blog
called Web Strategy by Jeremiah (http://web-strategist.com/blog)
and speaks at conferences about web and media strategy. Before
Forrester, Jeremiah was responsible for the strategy and development of
corporate web programs at PodTech.net, an online media network as the
Director of Corporate Media Strategy. Jeremiah founded and led the
Community Marketing program at Hitachi Data Systems and has experience
in Web Marketing, Intranets, Extranet and User Interface Design at
companies such as Exodus Communications, Cable and Wireless, and World
Savings (now Wachovia).
Dick Costolo, Head of Product Management, Social Media, Google Dick
Costolo heads up social media product management at Google and is
responsible for product development, innovation, and monetization of
social platforms and tools. He was the Co-Founder and CEO of
FeedBurner, the leading provider of media distribution audience
engagement services for blogs and RSS feeds, and acquired by Google in
June 2007. Previously, he cofounded and was CEO of Spyonit.com. Spyonit
was sold to 724 Solutions in September 2000. Google searches may also
reveal Dick's theater experience which includes, among others, numerous
roles and performances with Chicago's Annoyance Theater, television
appearances in the UK, and several years of improv shows at
international comedy festivals in Edinburgh, Montreal, and Australia.
Paula Drum, VP of Marketing, Digital Tax Solutions, H&R Block With more
than 15 years of experience in strategic planning, brand marketing, e-commerce
development, interactive/direct marketing, and change management, Paula Drum
joined H&R Block in 2006 as vice president of marketing for the Digital Tax
Solutions Group. Ms. Drum's expertise in marketing and her desire to
innovate prompted her to lead an extensive social media program to reposition
the H&R Block brand as a leader in tax expertise and digital products.
H&R Block was recently cited by Shel Israel as the most active consumer
retail or service company in social media.
Before
joining H&R Block, Ms. Drum was an e-commerce pioneer in the travel industry
establishing the e-commerce and interactive marketing disciplines for companies
such as Alamo-Rent-a-Car and Days Inn.
Chris George, VP of Advertising Solutions, MySpace Chris
George is the VP of Advertising Solutions at MySpace, the premier
lifestyle portal for connecting with friends, discovering popular
culture, and making a positive impact on the world. In this role, Chris
is responsible for ad product development and the monetization strategy
for MySpace. His team supports the Ad Sales teams and the clients of
MySpace by offering them a variety of ad products which includes video,
brand communities, HyperTargeting, sponsorships and mobile.
