                                                          BIOGRAPHY

Ilya Stavinsky was born at Moscow on May 22, 1943.
He graduated the high school in 1960 . From 1963 - 1967 he served in the Russian Navy (Pacific Ocean) on the scientific top secret ship "Sakhalin", that provided technical support for measuring precision of Russian experimental rockets, as radar station operator . In 1968 he entered to the Economic faculty of Moscow State University to be trained as a teacher in political economy. After studding economics for 1,5 years he found in the 2nd volume of Capital of Marx controversial remark about Social capital. Thinking that it was inaccurate translation of Stepanov-Skvortsov, he managed to have a meeting with Academician S. Strumilin (a well-known Russian economist who wrote economic program for N. Krushchev: current soviet generation will be living under communism) who read this place in the original "Capital" in German language, and said that the translation was correct. From here it was clear that there was only one conclusion, that Marx had made a logical error, arguing about Social capital. Academician looked at the student and asked about his nationality. When he heard that Stavinsky represents mixed breed: Russian, Jewish and Polish, he said that such people can be the great talents. Upon completion of the Moscow State University Stavinsky was accepted to graduate school at the Academy of Sciences, which he left in half a year and in 1975 emigrated to USA. Predictions of Academician, S. Strumilin, about Stavinsky's talent started to become reality.

In 1980, he published his book "Social capital and socialism", which describes the future capitalism, Social capital, and its transition to communism. A positive review of this book was in Italy in the journal "PlusValore " and in the U.S. journal " Radical Review of Political Economy " v 15,1983, that wrote:" "For the first time in economic literature Stavinsky gives a full economic analysis of directly social capital".

In 1979 about this book Professor of Economics, Columbia University, Alexander Erlich wrote: "Ilya Stavinsky's book is an intelligent and thoughtful essay in economics.."

In 1981, I. Stavinsky did a brief review of the book on American television in New York.

In 1995 appeared his new book "Capitalism today and capitalism tomorrow", which describes in detail the transition of monopoly capital to the Social capital. Reviews of the book were in the U.S., Britain, Australia, Russia, and so forth. Australian central newspaper "The Australian" wrote: "Unmanned factories the key to capitalist Utopia... Mr. Stavinsky calls for government to adopt measures to promote the introduction of robots into production. Without such support, the benefits of automation will take longer to realize. However, in Australia, the US and other countries, politicians are largely unaware of automation. Mr. Stavinsky's projections may come true eventually."

Well-known American economist Paul M. Sweezy, editor-in-chief of Monthly Review magazine, wrote "I have read the book with interest, but disagree.."

This book drew the attention of U.S. President B. Clinton. American magazine "BUSINESS HORIZONS", published by the School of Business, Indiana University, wrote: "The following book has been selected by the magazine as being of particular interest to practitioners and scholars of business.. A study of the transformation of contemporary capitalism to a concept called SOCIAL CAPITAL and how this process could be speeded up."

In Russia, professors of economics of Moscow State University, Khubiev, l. Reznick and and professors of philosophy A. Butenko and P. Khmilev wrote about the scientific importance of this book and so on. Central Russia newspapers published excellent articles about it.

Talent of I. Stavinsky is to think dialectically, reflected not only in political economy but also in philosophy, astronomy, physics, mathematics. Below is a list of articles in these fields of sciences, which were published in newspapers, magazines and the Internet: "Formal and Dialectical Logic of unity of opposites or the development of classical philosophy."
