Jefferson/Nobleboro SnoPackers
Who We Are We are residents of Jefferson, Nobleboro and the surrounding towns who enjoy the pleasures of Maine winters which include snowmobiling, cross country skiing and snowshoeing. We have over 75 members and their families participating in our snowmobile club.
Where We Ride Locally we have over 75 miles of maintained trails in Jefferson and Nobleboro, ranging from Washington to Damariscotta and from Waldoboro to Whitefield. Maintenance on 30 of those miles is funded by the Maine Snowmobile Association. Our trails interconnect with those of neighboring clubs like the Route 66 club to the south, the Washington Hill and Gully club to the north and the Waldoboro Snowcrawlers to the east. We also take club trips up state and ride some fabulous MSA trails.
What We Do Our members volunteer their time and effort to gain landowner permission, clear trails in preparation for the season and groom trails whenever there is sufficient snow. We have annual events which include a Radar Run, a Drag Race, our club trip, our Landowner’s Appreciation Lobster Dinner, regular club meetings, pot luck dinners and a fun filled Christmas gift auction at our December meeting.
We Support Our Community Our goal is to respect landowner property and leave it as we found it or in better condition. We give back to our communities much of the proceeds from our fund raising raffles and Radar Run. Some funds go to equipment needed for trail maintenance and the rest goes back to the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Brownies, Cub Scouts, the Jefferson Fire and Rescue Squad, the Nobleboro Fire Department and the Damarsicotta Lake Beach Association.
When and Where We Meet From September through April we meet on the first and third Tuesday of the month at 7:00 PM in the Greenleaf & Co. building at 114 Washington Road, Jefferson. This is the site of the old Merserve Mill next to the dam across from the old post office. . We welcome cross country skiers and snowshoers to join our club and use the trails. If you enjoy using the trails, please join the club!
