Dr Christina Tan is on the faculty of music at the School of The Arts (SOTA). She made her first debut on national television at the age of 5 and received the 1986 Diners Club Pianist of the Year Award. She was later invited to study at the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) where she earned all her music degrees, including a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Piano Performance and Music Theory. Since then, she has gained numerous accolades in the US and Singapore.

An active soloist, composer and adjudicator, Christina believes in grooming musicians who will spend a lifetime reaping the benefits of making music. This evening, she will be performing some of her piano compositions as well as Chopin’s works. Having established her career in the United States, this will be Dr Tan’s homecoming concert.
