1.     READ: Students are asked to read Magic Tree House #8: Midnight on the Moon by Mary Pope Osborn over the summer vacation.  The Board of Education has lent you the book, so it is easily available to you.  You are expected to return this copy of the book with your project in September.

2.    PROJECT: On the paper provided, students will draw a picture of their favorite part of the book on the front, and write a paragraph about their illustration on the lines on the back of the illustration. (Click on Attachments for copies of these pages if you need them

3.    DUE: The project can be turned in the first day of school and will be shared with the class on the first Friday back to school, Friday, September 4, 2009.

4.    GRADING: The project will be graded as a homework assignment.  If it is not handed in, it will be treated as a missing homework assignment.
