The five age group County Cup and Plate festival finals for 2010 – 2011 are now complete, and, it was a wonderfully successful day. The festivals and finals are only possible because of clubs like yours who draft in the army of volunteers needed to man Car Parks, BBQ’s, Kitchens, Sweet and Cake Stalls, Registration, Match Control Points, Pitch Management and any number of other tasks that all need willing people who freely give up their time to ensure that hundreds of boys and girls have a good day and take part in well run events in a safe environment. I had a number of complimentary emails waiting for me yesterday evening, all expressing thanks for a wonderful day. On behalf of the Gloucestershire Rugby Football Union may I extend our grateful thanks to you and sincerely hope that your festival finals day was all that you hoped it would be. The GRFU cannot do it without clubs like St Mary’s OB. Please print this letter for your notice board so that all involved know how much their efforts were appreciated.
