The
name of this farm means pleasures, and this coffee delivers a simple, sweet pleasure. This
striking farm blankets a mountain ridge in the Matagalpa region.
Standing at the highest point of the farm, you cannot help but be
overwhelmed with the majesty of the surrounding peaks and the beauty of
the shaded coffee forest that extends to the valley below. Los Placeres
is blessed with a pure, fast-flowing spring that permits an extremely
clean washing of our coffee.
This
farm got its name from the unusual growth of lemon trees that were
originally found here. This is arguably our most beautiful farm. With
four waterfalls, numerous streams, and a vast diversity of plant and
animal life, this farm must be seen to be believed. A visit to this tropical farm is an opportunity to hike steep mountain trails crisscrossed by
meandering streams.
This
farm is affectionately named for our grandmother, Mina McEwan. Trees and
mountains surround the farm in every direction. Mama Mina produces our finest coffee due to its
high altitude, abundance of shade, and nutrient-rich soil.

Finca San José
This
small farm sits perched on a cliff high above the beautiful Lago
Apanas, north of Jinotega. The road to the farm is steep and difficult
to manage in the wet season, but the views more than justify the trip.
There are few other places where the sunsets are as beautiful. Besides
the views, the high altitude and volcanic soil help this farm produce a
truly exemplary coffee.

Finca La Escondida
La Escondida is the sister farm of San Jose. Both farms are approximately 1 kilometer in distance apart, but with no direct access route it is about 5 kilometers. La Escondida means the hidden one. It gets its name because it is not visible from the main road. It is a young farm: the first trees where planted here in 2006, but we expect great things from this farm as our trees grow.

Finca Los Milagros
Los Milagros sits in the middle of a beautiful nature reserve, "El Diablo". It has an amazing array of flora and fauna.
One of the striking things on this farm is that you can find river crabs near water sources. As part of the reserve,
any new plantings or farm construction must first be approved by the Nicaraguan Environmental Agency (MARENA). The high elevation shrouds this farm in mist almost year round.
