2012 Panther Rosters Announced
Coach Mike Hanie has announced his roster for the 2012 Varsity team. Nine returning players from the 2011 campaign will anchor the squad. The
incoming varsity players are:

Post-Season Accolades Awarded At The Soccer Banquet

Coaches Hanie and Smith called their 2011 teams together for a final time on May 17th to break bread, celebrate their seasons and bid farewell to their seniors and transfers. Players and parents were universally grateful to the volunteers who arranged the catering and decorated the venue in preparation. Providence United Methodist Church graciously allowed the teams to use their facility for the banquet.
Except for the SMHS Goal Club Awards – which are awarded by each coach – and the Outstanding Student-Athlete Award – which is based on GPA – all other awards are voted on by the players on the team.

Coach Bobby Joe Smith's 2011 JV team is fairly evenly split between sophomores (8) and freshmen (10).

Senior Chase Park Signs With Georgia Southern
Chase Park inked his college scholarship to Georgia Southern University in Statesboro during the National Signing Day festivities today. Chase was a starting forward on the Panthers' 2010 State Championship squad.

2010 Preview
The Panthers ended their 2009 season with a state ranking of #8 in Class AAAA. Starr's Mill was 16-0-0 and ranked #1 in the Nation before dropping their final two games of the season.
This year, the Panthers are ranked #5 in the AAAA Pre-season Polls.
The Varsity season kicks off with a trip to AAAAA Milton in north Atlanta on Feb. 16. Kickoff is at 7:30pm.
The JV season begins on Feb. 22 with a trip to Whitewater. Kickoff for that game is at 5:30pm.
