Storytelling gives us moments of beauty, magic, joy, and profound emotion. As humans we are story creators, story tellers, and story listeners. There will always be a need for the true storyteller, someone who can tell a story face-to-face in real time and make a difference by doing so. Story is as intrinsic, inherent, and essential to our species as language or walking upright.

About The Storytelling Institute

The South Mountain Community College Storytelling Institute is at the center of a community of storytellers who gather to tell and hear stories of all kinds. The Institute offers foundational and advanced classes in storytelling as part of a program that leads to an Academic Certificate in Storytelling. These classes are open to anyone interested in storytelling and most have no prerequisites.
