8 people sit alongside the JCR Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer, President and Chair
They pass financial motions submitted by any JCR member after researching and debating how cost-effective and worthwhile each proposal is.
This way JCR money is spent in the way JCR members want and anyone can submit a motion (see the motion guide for help!)
Clubs and Societies
Any club or society can apply to the JCR for funding throughout the year by submitting a motion to finance comm e.g. we agreed to pay for the boat club insurance as well as funding the college musical this year.
They also recieve a yearly grant of around £50 which they can spend in whatever way they wish
Most of all please get involved. JCR finances affect every bit of your college experience and so have your say on how the money is spent!
