St Mary's College Arts Society

What is St. Mary's Arts Society?

St Marys College Arts Society or 'SMCAS' as we're more fondly known is the umbrella organization encompassing and supporting all of the College's Arts Societies, including Drama, MMV ( Mary's Mixed Voices), Dance and Orchestra as well Chapel Choir and our all new Jazz Combo.

The Society is run by a committee comprising of a President elected by the JCR student body, a Vice President, Treasurer,Secretary, Events Manager, Publicity Officer, Social Secretary, the JCR Social Secretary, Chapel Choir Musical Director and the Presidents of Drama, Dance, MMV and Orchestra. There are also ordinary commitee member positions available throughout the year.

As well as overseeing the general day to day running of the Arts in Marys we also hold our own events such as Arts Weekend in November during which hold all sorts of artsy events as well as Arts Week in February which culminates in our famous Masquerade Ball! We are representative of all of the Arts in Marys and try to cater for all tastes. If we want to do something, set up a group or society or organise a trip let us know and we'll do our best to help!

St Mary's Arts Society is committed to promoting the arts in college and we aim to continue to make Marys the best college for Arts!
