Let yourself be transported to the romantic capital of the world, Paris.

It is Tuesday, 12th June 2012. You are dressed to the nines in your finest black tie (pop in a little French twist if you so desire) and you are ready for the event of the year - the Midsummer Ball.

A day or two before you have picked up your personalised welcome package which got you excited for the night ahead.

You approach Mary's along the drive to find it littered with mini French cafe style tents, to squirrel yourself away in later on for a much needed moment of relaxation away from the myriad of entertainments going on all around you. You arrive outside college to find it overhauled by lights and extravagant decorations that take you right out of Durham, down to the city of surprises.

You are welcomed by a champagne reception, accompanied by a French string quartet. You are then directed into a boudoir style marquee for a 3 course dinner,  serenaded by the best performers. After this you are spoiled by displays from dancers and musicians, food, games and activities to carry you through the night to the Survivors photo in the morning.

This is your ONE NIGHT IN PARIS. It is to be an evening loaded with decadence and surprises, but to whet your appetites, let your mind wander over wine, crepes, jazz, rides, moustaches, electroswing, massages, burlesque, prizes, films, dancers...and have a guess as to who our guest of honour will be!
