Moving Day

PLEASE FIND ATTACHED DOCUMENT OF MOVING TIMES AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE! (to come)

Moving day, as you may have already guessed is when everyone moves to their new rooms that were chosen in the room ballot.  Moving day only happens in the Michaelmas term for the reason that you are allowed to leave your stuff in your rooms over the christmas holidays.

Moving day this year will be: Sunday 11th December

How does it work?

Unfortunately, the event will have to start reasonably early.  As you can imagine everyone moving rooms will take a long time and we have a christmas dinner to fit in at the end of the day.  Each person will be assigned a time for which they should be packed and ready to move.  You then go and hand in your room key at your 'key station', if you live in the fergusson building (this includes shepherd's and the post grad building) this will be in the reading room, if you live in williamson it will be in the front foyer.  Those living in Teikyo will have to give keys into the teikyo porter.  You then go to the key station for your new room and pick up your new key.  After this you must start moving your belongings into your new room immediately as somone else will be trying to move into your old room soon after.

If your room is not tidy when you come round to move then there will be a £25 fine.

When does it start?

The first people will start moving from 9.00am

What else will be going on?

Lunch will become a brunch, giving you more time to get something to eat during the day! (11am to 2.oopm)

Look out for DUCK! The helpful bunch are offering to help move your belongings and will be about to help make the day a little brighter!
