The Annual General Meeting is on the 3rd of November at 7.30 ER 201 and it is the most important DSU meeting of the year. At the AGM the accounts of DSU are published and the Trustees have to report to the students present and answer any questions asked to them, including anything about the closure of the DSU Shop, so do come along! All DSU members are entitled to come to the AGM and vote on the matters arising, giving all members of DSU the chance to ask questions to those with the ultimate liability for DSU. This is your chance to learn exactly what DSU does for you and how it provides the services that as students you can all benefit from.

There is an Accommodation Licence Agreements Motion in today's Council Meeting and the DSU wants to campaign to mandate a clause to be added to college Licence Agreements that prevents college staff from arbitrarily entering your rooms without permission and notice, (where they may find "stuff" that could lead to your expulsion for example)
Get back to me ASAP if you feel strongly on the issue of your privacy, would like me to vote in favour of it, or if you vehemently oppose this kind of restriction on the college, or any other thoughts. The full motion can be found in the DSU Council Agendas |
