  • Wiki Matrix - This site allows you to check out the and compare the features of various wikis. and to compare
  • Google - Many people use Google Sites as a wiki. It is easy to use, but the viewer must have a Google account in order to access sites.
  • Wetpaint - Wetpaint is very eady to use adn is ad-free for education.
  • PBwiki - PBwiki is now PBworks. This is another free wiki website that is quite popular.
  • Bb - Blackboard has its own Wiki tool. This would be good for a class website, for group projects, or for individual student projects.

Start Your Own Wiki

We suggest you start practicing using Google Sites.  It is free and allows for a single sign on to multiple applications. (blogs, phots sharing, email, and more).  Now that all MCCD students have Gmail, tehy can easily access Google Sites. They will need to activate their account.

If you need help setting up a Google account feel free to see the handout attached below or visit the TLC for additional assistance.
