By imposing rigid photo identification requirements at the polls, this legislation places an undue burden on SLU students who will no longer be able to use SLU Student IDs or out-of-state drivers licenses to vote. While we support efforts to combat fraud in our election system, this legislation only serves to disenfranchise eligible voters both at Saint Louis University and across the state.
