My first grade teacher was my biggest inspiration; she made learning adventurous and fun.  From one day to the next you  knew what to expect be it a hike to a neighbor's backyard to find bugs to leprechauns turning the classroom upside down on St. Patrick's Day.  The year was memorable and that is what I strive to do in my classroom.

Hello, my name is Stephanie Layton Cudahy. I am a mother, wife, and student in the elementary education program.  It has been my dream of teaching since I was a kid but I have taken a few detours retail, management, a non-profit agency.  After the birth of my son I realized I wanted to go back to college and fulfill my dream of teaching so, with the support ofmy family I returned.

I believe in keeping the classroom simple, adventurous, and creative.  Students need the opportunity to explore an idea from all angles as well as be respected for their individual learning style.  I am excited to be nearing the nd of my academic journey and starting a new on in my  own classroom.
