Associate Lecturer

  • Taught courses on reading, speaking, and essay writing with students of various linguistic levels and cultural backgrounds.
  • Designed courses to meet the needs of each student to enrich their linguistic skills and university experience.
  • Collaborated with other instructors on various classroom practices and theories
  • Piloted a lab course for up to 70 students, building their academic and testing skills in addition to vocabulary and pronunciation skills using words from the Academic Word List

2006-2007, English Language Fellowship, Samara, Russia

Senior English Language Fellow

  • Provided seminars, workshops, and master classes that focus on TEFL methods, American studies, and English for specific purposes for teachers and institutions in the Samara and the Greater Volga Region.
  • Organized events at the American Center in Samara, giving hundreds of teachers and students in the region opportunities to learn first-hand about American culture and education.
  • Created this website for Russian teachers to find access to information and materials regarding my presentations and teaching English in general. 
  • Created a blog to answer frequently asked questions that required more time than was allotted at the seminars.
