 A General Outline

We, the creators, the alchemists, the outliers, the outcasts, the dreamers, keep on moving forward. Yet, we still hold the past, as frozen slides in our memory. We strive to understand the meaning of “purpose” driving further the extent, to reach the deepest of one’s creativity and rise it higher, musing holy moments with feelings of an “au-delà”.

As a Conquistador of the useless, in hope of becoming a better being, I desire to nourish earth’s collective memory. Remaining attracted to the undesired and rejected, seeking for life’s senses and knowledge, I heave for creativity’s grace.

With oblivion, one comes across instinct’s pure joy, uncovering a sense of responsibility towards the wild places. This quest for discovery merges into our mind a sense of beauty.

Opening the path of an unwritten future, I have learned that the best journeys answer questions, that in the beginning, you would not have even thought to ask.

When realizing that fear of the unknown is the greatest fear of all, one has the duty to discover his surroundings.

And I live to never compromise the process of it all.

What's your "genre" Skoya?

“ ‘What kind of Art do you do? Abstract? Realistic? Figurative?’ Quite an overused question, but people just seem to love asking it, over, and over, again. One must know how to explain his art, but establishing a "kind of" Art one produces may remain blindness. A blindness that has a concrete purpose; trying to encircle your creations of certain boundaries because it should have a proper definition in order for the grand public to easily identify it or through it, especially with such clichéd views like "abstract, realistic or figurative", and belong to either of one of these statement and movement, will place one’s inspirations at a state of isolation. I find isolation quite oppressing. Abstract or not, realistic or vice versa, my Art’s inner facet deals with the brutality of reality, its consequences and its harms; as a visual aspect, I would say my creations are standing at a range of calculations in-between the abstract, the figurative and the realistic, as most of my inspirations are dug from dreaming memories & long awaited thoughts (re)cycled/digested through various reflections’ stages. So, what would YOU, consider my genre to be? The hint is that starts with a D. ”
