Welcome back to school. My name is Deb Skelton. I am the 7th grade Resource Specialist. This year we are fortunate to have two incredible aides supporting us: Ms Libby Graham, and Mrs. Monica Hylbert. They are both experienced professionals, and are committed to supporting student success. Together, we have a very strong and dedicated team.

This is my 6th year at Redwood Middle School. I love Redwood, and enjoy working with my students and families. Prior to working at Redwood, I was employed by the Los Altos School District as a Special Education Aide for 16 years. While in Los Altos I was also a parent, PTA President, taught and maintained a student conflict resolution program, and managed the playground program. 

I completed my undergraduate work at Notre Dame de Namur in Belmont, and earned my teaching credential and master's degree at Santa Clara University. I continue professional development by taking courses each summer. Last summer I enjoyed a 3-day workshop at Lindamood Bell in San Luis Obispo. 

I have been married to Mr. Skelton for 32 years. Mr. Skelton is employed by Apple. We have two grown sons, Justin and Nate. Justin graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a major in microbiology and chemistry. He is currently working on his MBA at Santa Clara University and is employed by SGC Financial. Nate graduated from Santa Clara University with a degree in business and finance. He is working for a start-up company, Satmatrix. My family enjoys attending Giants Baseball games, going to Sharks games, and playing music in our home studio.
