2nd Annual SJS Scout Skating Outing Registration Form

The 2nd Annual SJS Scout Skating Outing will be held at Reston SkateQuest on Saturday, January 15, 2011 starting at 5:15 pm. This event is hosted by Cub Scout Pack 913, SJS Girl Scout Troops, and BSA Troop 913. Pizza and drinks will be provided starting at 5:15 pm, ice time at 6:10 - 8 pm. The skating outing is a fundraising event for "Nothing But Nets", the global campaign to fight the deadly malaria disease in impoverished parts of the world. Nothing But Nets is sponsored by the 100th Centennial Boy Scouts of America. The Washington Capitals mascot SlapShot will also make an appearance to help run the relay races and fundraiser on-ice games including a puck shooting contest. To register for the skating outing, please fill out the form below:

- Only SJS scouts may register for this event. Each SJS scout may invite ONE non-family, non-scout to skate for free. Please ask the non-scout if he or she is interested in joining scouts.

- This registration form is family-based; please provide the names of everyone attending from your family, plus any non-scouts attending. If you would like to register register by den or troop, please contact Matt Pearce (matt.lin.pearce@gmail.com).

- You may pay by PayPal or by check made out to "Pack 913" (see instructions below).  

- The cost is $10 per person (includes skate rental, pizza, and drinks).

- "One buck per puck" for the Nothing But Nets fundraiser: for each $1 that you contribute, you may have one shot on goal in the puck shooting contest to be run by special guests "Mr. Mosquito", Slapshot the Eagle, and Mr. Pearce. For each puck that goes into the goal, a prize will be awarded !!!


Payment Instructions:

  • You may pay by either Cash, Check, or PayPal.  PayPal is the fastest and easiest way to pay for the skating outing.  To pay by PayPal, read page 2 here for payment instructions.
  • To pay by check, make the check payment to "Pack 913" and send the check to Matt Pearce, Pack 913 Skating Coordinator via either SJS backpack mail (Noah Pearce, 2nd Grade) or mail to the following address:
