Class Description
Veterinary Science is science based class that exposes students to the field of veterinary medicine. Subject areas include safety and sanitation, anatomy and physiology, parasitology, posology, and principles of diseases. This class will prepare a student for college level work in animal science, veterinary science, or biology.

Prerequisites:
Before science credit is granted for this course, the student must complete one (1) unit of physical science, one (1) unit of life science and one (1) Regents science exam.

Evaluation:
A class or work related project, along with regular quizzes and homework will determine the final grade. The grading breakdown is 25% homework, 25% tests and quizzes, 25% class participation and 25% project
