Animal Science looks at the various roles that animals play in their relationship with people. Animal product production, animals as pets, animals as sources of power, and the uses of animals for recreation are included.  The feeding and care of animals, as well as consumer concerns, animal welfare, and animal behavior are studied. 


   Prerequisites: Before science credit is granted for this course, the student must complete one (1) unit of physical science, one (1) unit of life science and one (1) Regents science exam.          
 
   Course description:          One-half (1/2) unit of credit, one semester course.
