Our school admits students of any race, color, national or ethnic origin, to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to its students. The school does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, its admission policy or in any school administered program. We offer an open registration policy throughout the year if room is available in the required grade. The school will endeavor to accommodate students with special needs, as the school’s resources and capabilities reasonably permit. Parents must provide any previous testing results with the most current documentation. The school reserves the right to decline admission or impose reasonable conditions of attendance for those students with special needs and for children that have had previous discipline issues. This policy includes students who have food allergies. St. John the Baptist Catholic School follows the following requirements for admission: Enrollment into our Kindergarten program requires the child to be five years old by September 1st of the enrollment year. To be eligible for first grade, a student must be six years of age by September 1st of the school enrollment year. There are no exceptions to this policy. To be enrolled into our Pre-K-3 program, a child must be three years of age by September 1st of the enrollment year and must be fully toilet trained. A student entering our Pre-K-4 program must be four years of age by September 1st of the enrollment year and fully toilet trained. Required documents for admissions include:
Children will not be accepted into the school without these documents on our school file by the first day of attendance. As a condition of registration in our parish school, all students and the student’s parent(s)/guardian(s) commit the student to attend Religion classes, to fulfill requirements for this subject, and to attend religious functions offered as part of school programs. |
