The Archdiocese of Philadelphia's Blue Ribbon Commission recommended last week that students from St. John the Baptist in Ottsville and St. Phillip Neri in East Greenville and St. Isidore in Quakertown consolidate our schools, with the physical location of the school being in Quakertown. We respectfully acknowledge the time and due diligence that went into the Blue Ribbon Commission's recommendations.

We are confident in the facts and documentation that support our appeal and would like to believe that their assessment of our school's situation will change in light of this new information.  We understand that the entire appeal process will be concluded by mid March.

We are grateful to the Blue Ribbon Commission, the Office of Catholic Education and most especially Archbishop Chaput for putting such an appeal process in place. 

On Tuesday, January 10 at 7:15pm, parents and parishioners of St. John the Baptist were briefed at a special meeting to discuss the parish’s decision, and answer any questions. We have been blessed to experience an outpouring of support from our parishioners in the days since the announcement was made. We are confident that between the additional pledge of funds we've received in the past week, and the incredible events we have planned for Catholic Schools Week, we will be able to achieve our goal of increased enrollment as outlined in our strategic plan launched one year ago.

To help our cause, an anonymous donor has pledged a full tuition scholarship for an elementary school age child who enrolls during Catholic Schools Week.
