13 December 2009 - It is noted that all Yahoo! "Geocities" Websites have now been shut down. This is not unexpected - as Yahoo! did announce its intention to do so, quite some time ago. What this means, is that quite a few excellent Websites shown in the Fortification and Artillery Links Pages of this Site - are no longer accessible. Accordingly, the links concerned will be deleted over the next few months. If you own a former Yahoo! "Geocities" Website (or any other Website, for that matter) - that you have relocated to a new URL, please do contact the Webmaster at: ajscadden@paradise.net.nz - to ensure that the link details are updated. 21 August 2009 - As from today, we have launched the "SITE O Newsletters" page. This will make all Newsletters, published by Joe Kaufmann from June 2009 onward, available online. Most files are in PDF format - so you will need Adobe Reader installed, to view them. 02 August 2009 - As from today, we have launched the "SITE O International - Fortification & Artillery Photo Group" on Flickr.com. The URL is: http://www.flickr.com/groups/siteointernational/. It is hoped that this will give greater exposure to SITE O - and encourage more Membership enquiries, accordingly. Do check it out. Members wishing to contribute photos will find full instructions on the Homepage of the Group. Please do consider signing up - and uploading some of your own photos. There is no denying that people love looking at pictures. Any contribution that you could make could prove a real assistance in advancing our cause!
17 May 2009 - Calendars page set up with details of fort conferences, tours and open days.
22 April 2009 - A "SITE O Photo Albums" page has been added to the Website. The intent is to create a set of links to Regional Website photo albums - and to those of individual Members of SITE O, who may also wish to be listed. If you are a Member of SITE O - and you would like to have your (relevant) Photo-Site included, please e-mail the International Webmaster - or your Regional Director, with the URL. 21 April 2009 - Aleksander (Alex) Jankovic Potocnik (our Regional Director and Webmaster for SITE O Central and South-Eastern Europe) now has a new e-mail address: ajp@amis.net Please update your address books and contact lists, accordingly.
15 April 2009 - SITE O Regional Pages for the United Kingdom and Ireland added to this Site. |
