Code Red

A Shlong, shlong time ago...

In a phalacy far, far away, lived a girl struggling in an epic battle against her over-bearing Vagina.  The Vagina, who is hell bent on the complete rejection of the young boy that has stolen the young virgin's heart, has only to hope that the boy's overzealous penis will be unable to penetrate the boy's new found respect for sexual moral.  A cumming of age, an embracing of stupidity, a battle of the sexes... against themselves?

Originally produced in Dalhousie's playwright's cabaret it then went on to gain the title of 'FRINGE HIT' in
Atlantic Fringe 2000.  It was then re-mounted in Edmonton's Fringe Odyssey.

Code Red offers a fine first date

A play you can't help liking despite yourself.  Dave Roxborough’s 45-minute comedy is
about the battle between a vagina and a penis as Vanessa and Paul experience a first date.
     It may be love.
... good jokes, a fast-pace maintained by director Andre Davey and
high-energy, committed acting by a cast mainly in the Dalhousie acting program
make Code Red a surprisingly amusing show.  .

The young cast is full of energy, and there's good physical comedy, particularly
when the sex act is about to be consummated and all four players are on
the couch together, screaming, wrestling and straining.
