A Man and His Past A man and his past Should not be asked And for which should not be judged If not shared then leave it there And for which hold no grudge There is no need to impede And bring his darkness to the sun Judge no man on his past Or what he has done Nightfall When darkness surrounds you When all hope is lost Nightfall will not be far behind Thought to be the time of evil To bring doom if not protected But it is the timed to be veiled All is lost Nothing to find Until this veil taken off Then all is hope and fine Give it a reason And the darkness will swallow you up Leaving nothing behind But if you’re willing It will bring you help Where nowhere else you will find So take my advice to heart and to mind For the Nightfall brings Darkness And you determine if it is evil Or if it is kind. Groping for Dreams A broken heart A broken dream For some of us The same thing An eye for an eye But who will see? The work I do? The lights I breathe? Is it fine? This loss of time This solitary thought This broken item bought A shattering of hopes Timeless in destiny’s spokes Bleeding dreams onto the ground, quickly they seethe Running away so hurriedly But I lunge, I pounce, I grasp, I grope I hold verily tight to the dreams, my hope I never let go, although they flicker I try and I try for them and never let them slither I hold tight and firmly believe For no one can stop me or take away my dreams. |
